He Loves Food

Mother's Day we started the little guy on baby food, some may say its early but the doctor recommended we do it. He has sever GERD and having something heavy in his stomach is helping him keep his food down. He sure does love it...

He loves squash
Big sister loves to help!

...and Miss A decorated cupcakes at Starbucks for Mother's Day, although she ate the cupcake.

Playing Catch-Up

My family has been so busy these past two weeks so I haven't gotten to post much. I missed "weigh- in Wednesday" this past week, but I was able to get some pictures. I will share them in the next few days. My weight loss was kinda put on the back burner. My son has GERD and started spitting up brown, which they think could have possibly been blood, so we have been going to a lot of doctors appointments. I was also in my friends wedding this past weekend and was out of town. I also had to do some things to prepare for that, such as getting my nails done...which was long over due!

I haven't really lost or gained anything, although I did gain two pounds and then sweated them off this weekend. BUT now I am back from the wedding and they changed little man's medication so hopefully things will get easier. I am going in full force again and decided to start working out twice a day like I was the first two weeks, so hopefully that will get me back on track to losing this weight. I am doing the 7-day cleanse starting this weekend (I promise I will share that), so hopefully that will kick start things. We leave for the beach in ELEVEN DAYS for two weeks, long trip but we can really use the relaxation after how hard these past six months have been. We brought in this year with a high risk pregnancy which resulted in getting induced at 36 weeks, E ended up in the NICU and now he has sever GERD. We could really use a break about now and the little dude needs to meet his grandparents.

So get ready for a lot of picture posts in the next few days!

Weigh-In Wednesday

This week I didn't lose as much as the two previous weeks, but I am okay with that. I havent been eating as healthy as I should, somewhat keeping on the diet plan. I am in my friends wedding next Saturday and I have lost so much weight, my dress is pretty loose on me now.

This week I lost TWO POUNDS, bringing my weight to 187

Which means I have lost ELEVEN pounds
Not too bad considering.

I am feeling a lot more healthier, I am so glad I made this decision and stopped saying TOMORROW.

Goal for March 23, 2012- 185
Goal for April 18, 2013- 130
Total lost- 11 pounds

My Favorite Green Dress

I am in my best friends wedding on May 26th. The rehearsal is the evening before and I really was wanting to wear my favorite green dress to it. I still don't think I look good in it (I am kinda lumpy), but hubby says I do. Maybe if I get a brown short sleeve cardigan to go over it it will cover up my main problem areas?

...either way, I am so happy tonight. This was one of my goals for the next three months! I'm thrilled and its only week THREE, well starting on Tuesday!

I need a tan. Please ignore the wet hair and red face, I just got out of the shower after my workout!

Burn It Up!

The past few days I felt like I wasn't working out as hard as I could, so I stepped it up to phase three (Burn It Up!) tonight. It was amazing, I feel like it was probably one of the best/ hardest workouts that I have ever done. I really liked how it was a faster pace, the music was more upbeat and they really didn't give you a chance to stop, you just kept going and moving. My muscles were on FIRE. With Start It Up! and Ramp It Up!, you would stop and walk in place ever few moves. It would remind me of how much it burned and I would think about stopping, yes sometimes I would not walk or kick it out. When you keep moving and concentrate on the move, you don't have time to think about anything else...including the burn.

I kinda enjoyed it...

Weigh-In Wednesday

So, where do I start...?

Last Friday little miss decided she wanted to be an escape artist and climb out of her crib so I didn't get to work out that evening because we took my workout time to switch her to her toddler bed. She only cried for 15 minutes or so but that was still exhausting. Saturday night E wasn't feeling really well and stayed up until midnight, didn't get to work out that day either. Sunday evening my daughter got sick so we were snuggling with her for majority of the night, I was exhausted the next morning so no workout then either.

Not working out made me feel kinda depressed it was always in the back of my mind but I knew that my family needed me more, plus I was so exhausted from the lack of sleep. Monday evening I FINALLY got to spend time with Debbie, I felt more energetic Tuesday and I slept a whole lot better. I think it was good that I took a little break, I felt like I was able to workout harder and push through the pain. I wasn't as sore and things felt a little easier than they did Friday morning. Even though I took three days off, I still ended up losing weight and inches!

Tuna Burgers

Earlier this week I made tuna burgers  for lunch, they were so easy and delicious! It's made out of things that I always have on hand, which is another plus! I found this recipe over at "Can You Stay For Dinner?" and just used what I had on hand. I love her site, she has a lot of supper yummy recipes and nutritional value listed for each. This tasty and filling burger is only 175 calories not including bun, sandwich thins are 110 calories.

Tuna Burgers
makes four burgers

2, 6 oz cans tuna fish, drained and flaked
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs (we only had Italian, and it still tasted good)
1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley (omitted this since I used Italian bread crumbs)
2 cloves garlic, minced  (added a little extra, we really like garlic)
1/4 teaspoon each, salt and pepper
juice of half a lemon (added a little extra juice)
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 egg
4 English muffins (we thought sandwich thins were a lot better)
4 leaves romaine
1 small tomato, sliced (we didn't have tomato, but it was still tasty without it)

Combine tuna, bread crumbs, green onion, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, lemon, sour cream, and egg, and mix well with your hands. Form into 4 patties (they will be wet), place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees F. Serve the burgers on toasted English muffins with romaine and sliced tomato. Spread additional sour cream on each burger, if desired.

Next time I make this, I am going to add some red onion, tomato and maybe some dijon mustard. I am also going to get a better picture, this was just taken with my phone. It was too good of a burger to share.  we are going to add some red onion and maybe some dijon mustard.

*Tip for forming patties, use your jar lids and saran-warp. For meat that will shrink, use one that is a little larger than your bun. Place saran-wrap over lid and form patty, lift saran-wrap and place on tray.

ENJOY!

Four Months

Little E is FOUR months old today, I got out the camera this afternoon to get a few pictures of him and big sister. They have both gotten so big. E-man is rolling over (belly to back and back to belly) and he can sit up assisted. I think this one is going to skip crawling.

Weigh-in Wednesday

Each Wednesday I am going to post an update on my progress for the week, I saw it on another blog. But I thought I would add in pictures. So I can see the difference through out the weeks. Nothing noticeable yet, but I am already feeling so much better!

This week I lost four pounds, which brings me to 194

I also started phase two of Slim in 6 today! I did it once a few days ago but it was so difficult so I switched back to phase one, tonight it was still hard but I managed to complete it! I was also able to squeeze into my old jeans that are size 14. They were a little snug but I not super uncomfortable like the were the last time I squeezed into them. I'm still keeping on track with my eating. I did have half a waffle the other day for dinner. My parents made breakfast for dinner on Sunday night. I made up for it a little, that was the day I did phase two and almost died.

Goal for March 23, 2012- 185
Goal for April 18, 2013- 130
Total lost- 4 pounds

64 pounds to go

Week One of SI6

Tuesday I completed week one of Slim in 6, over all I like the program. Sticking with the food guide hasn't been difficult. They don't tell you what to eat each day, just give you different categories and tell you to each a certain amount from each category a day. They do have a week cleanse to do, but I haven't done it yet. Mainly because of energy, I want to be able to work out to my full potential. With two kids you dont get much sleep at night, and my son still wakes up a few times at night to eat.

I have been working out twice a day, when I was doing Start it Up! (phase one) I was doing that twice a day. I started incorporating the two bonus programs, Slim and 6-pack and Slim and Limber, a few days ago. Currently I am doing phase two, Ramp it Up!, in the morning and then Slim and 6-pack at night. I don't want to over work myself, my left forearm was very sore this morning. Its starting to feel better this evening but having a four month old who doesn't want to be put down, isn't making it feel much better. My moby wrap got a lot of use today, really good on those days when I am really sore.

My work out buddy in the mornings.
